Chiricahua Ranch Vineyards is Arizona’s newest wine grape vineyard. The vineyard site, nestled in the foothills between the Chiricahua and Dos Cabezas mountains, was selected after an extensive search throughout Arizona. With warm sunny days, cool nights, and mineral rich, well drained soil, this location should produce the finest wine grapes in Arizona.
Grape varieties are being selected which will show at their best in this unique high desert location. We have planted Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Marsanne, Roussanne, Vermentino, and Petit Manseng. More will be added in 2014 and beyond. Starting in 2015 these grapes will be available to winemakers throughout Arizona offering them the opportunity to make world class wine from Arizona grown grapes, without the need to grow their own vines.
